Thanks. Second, you ask:

“if Steve Buscemi plays me in the movie then people will think I'm weird and creepy, eh? “
Clearly, Shelley (comment below yours) will think so but I will think you look just fine. Lastly, re: what actor would play me in the movie version of my life? My first pick was Antonio Banderas, but then I realized- that a) I don’t have a cool accent and b) other than both being tall white guys with dark hair, we don’t look anything alike. So I asked my sister-in-law (Let’s call here “Dara”) and she said a “taller Andy Garcia.” But I think she’s just being nice. So finally I uploaded a photo of myself to one of those celebrity-comparison sites, and my celeb lookalikes are… Uri Geller, David Soul and JK Rowling. Me, I’d pick Matthew Broderick, but taller. (Oh and less, er, handsome…)

Shelley- I’m warning you now- don’t go see Kent’s movie; the guy playing Kent will totally creep you out.

Anon- I think I know what you’re talking about re: possible Dame’s Rocket in the RB concert area. Next time I’m over there I’m going to track an employee down and see if I can get a story on what it is/how it got there. Thanks.Watcherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02248341788957416471noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9199848742267562587.post-32630072216334482212009-05-13T06:38:00.000-06:002009-05-13T06:38:00.000-06:00hollllld on a second watcher. the wildflower symp...hollllld on a second watcher. the wildflower symphony moves to its first crescendo this week, but you have to wait for the mules ears to hit the second peak before you can be so definite. it's not over before the fat lady.... errrr... yellow plants are done!

there is some of that money plant business above the red butte concert area on the north side of the road also.

you should post some gratuitous shots of you slaying some woad.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9199848742267562587.post-18816817186806488572009-05-12T22:11:00.000-06:002009-05-12T22:11:00.000-06:00I love your blog, but, uh, you're wrong about Stev...I love your blog, but, uh, you're wrong about Steve Buscemi. He does look weird. The complexion, the slightly bulging eyes, the liver-y lips, the intense, haunted expression. The fact that I can never visualize the guy without seeing a scrap of toilet paper stuck to his bloody face, a la Fargo. Weird. Really, really weird.

~ShelleyAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9199848742267562587.post-12638158171476682862009-05-12T18:51:00.000-06:002009-05-12T18:51:00.000-06:00Damnit Watcher,

I'd always figured Steve Buscemi should play me in the movie version of my life, with Tina Fey playing my inexplicably hot wife. TV and movie characters always have inexplicably hot wives and I do in real life, which is why I think they should make a movie of my life. Oh gosh now I'm doing the nested tangent thing in a blog comment. Where was I?

Oh yeah, if Steve Buscemi plays me in the movie then people will think I'm weird and creepy, eh? That sounds about right.

So who would play you in the movie version of your life?Kent Petersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01607372827627527450noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9199848742267562587.post-43510355832212465752009-05-12T16:29:00.000-06:002009-05-12T16:29:00.000-06:00KKris- you’d like Shoreline from City Creek to the...KKris- you’d like Shoreline from City Creek to the towers. Nice trail, and another thing I neglected to mention- way less traffic than between Dry Creek and City Creek. I don’t ride it too often because I either have to do “Big Shoreline” or drive over to City Creek to get there, but always enjoy it when I do.

Colin- that’s it. I think you and I both need to change our names. Out of respect for each other’s respective homelands, I will ask that you start calling me “Stephen” (“Steve”, “Steveski”, or “Steve-O” are all OK with me as well) and I will start calling you “Barack.”

Ayla however, should stick with "Ayla". It is a cool name, and I never get her confused with anyone else, which is key, what with my low Dunbar number and all...Watcherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02248341788957416471noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9199848742267562587.post-75736130905628773212009-05-12T12:47:00.000-06:002009-05-12T12:47:00.000-06:00I feel for you on the name thing. This was pointed out to me by a drunk Irish guy at a party over 10 years ago and I've been very conscious of it ever since. The only cool use of "Colin" I remember was in an Australian movie with a pre-Gladiator Russel Crowe. His character was described as "Colin-the-gun-toting-thug" in the brochure of the now-defunct art-house cinema in Kingston, ON. I saw the movie based on this description alone and was one of the early dates I had with my future wife, let's call her "Ayla".Colinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17690981291104861282noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9199848742267562587.post-811621920421265782009-05-12T10:01:00.000-06:002009-05-12T10:01:00.000-06:00Wow, what a packed, awesome post.

I've never been up to the antennas - need to do that. In fact, I'd like to ride clear over to Mueller and back.

I've spotted some of those flowers on my rides. Had a fantastic ride up Big Spring Hollow Saturday with my wife. It was so green and verdant - a joy to behold.KanyonKrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01954169751206336705noreply@blogger.com
